Welcome to Digging Deep Ministries, also known as DDM. DDM, founded in early 2020 amid the COVID-19 global Pandemic.
DDM is a product of a move of the Holy Spirit where the idea was for the brothers to start reading books together and intentionally discussing their contents. As the churches were closing their doors and going virtual, it was clear that there was a need for a space where men could meet, be open, and be vulnerable to discuss real-life issues such as pain, hurt, rejection, etc. All the conversations started with worship to Lord, and they were organic, transparent, deep-rooted talks about the issues that go on within their lives, and the goal was always to search for healing through Jesus Christ.
While the whole world was shutting down and closing its doors, a few brothers decided to intentionally meet every Wednesday to be able to talk, fellowship, and eat outdoors. Since many were working from home, having this time together was crucial to maintain and grow some of those relationships. Those fellowships also helped brothers realize that they were all in different walks of life, dealing with various struggles and lacking accountability.
As the ministry grows, more bothers get invited, and others join through word of mouth. Some brothers are mature in their faith, some were new, and some do not know what being a follower of Christ means. As part of our growth, we realize that each of us needs to meet each other where we are in life, understanding we could not accelerate or slow down each other’s journey. This is the true marathon of walking with Christ and doing life together.
Here at DDM, we break bread together, we war together, we worship together, and we serve others where God has our feet planted. We always look for individual and group breakthroughs so we may walk out the will that God has for our lives. We have committed to die to ourselves daily. It’s not a slogan it’s a lifestyle.
“But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sins.” 1 John 1:7
